Design

There was some disagreement among participants in our research study about whether in-depth interactions were sustainable or desirable. For example, while in-depth interactions such as bilateral exchanges offer rich opportunities for students to develop language skills and build lifelong friendships, they are extremely time-consuming and often quite stressful to prepare for everyone involved.
