Organize and lead a college study abroad trip

This website will help you organize and lead a study abroad program for your CEGEP students. If this is your first time taking students on a study abroad trip, this website will help you design your trip, create pedagogically sound activities and evaluations for your students before, during, and after travel, and provide solutions to problems teachers often face when organizing overseas trips.

Welcoming the unexpected in plans

Language teachers who are new to organizing facilitated study abroad (FSA) stand to benefit the most from this website. However, given the few resources available on how to plan study abroad at the CEGEP level, teachers who have some experience facilitating such trips will also find several of the sections helpful, as will teachers from other disciplines.

Our purpose in creating this website was to identify issues we and our participants raised over three years of research on study abroad, and to address these issues systematically based on findings in the scientific literature as well as the results of our own study.
