A carefully crafted pitch targets a specific audience and gets them not only to believe in the work you’re doing but also to become collaborators in making your program a success. The final product may look completely different from your initial FSA plan, but having buy-in will make everything easier because you’re enlisting the right allies to lighten your cognitive load.

What’s next ?

Using the document Steps in pitching your trip, prepare three pitches for three different audiences (e.g., students,  international office, and granting agency). How will you appeal to their emotions and their sense of higher purpose? Which logical/factual arguments will you use to support your case? How will you present yourself and establish credibility? What anecdote will you open with? What’s your value proposition? And, most important, what are the next steps?
